Truth with no definition
Abide in truth as it abides in you
Founded in 2004, The World Buddhist Sangha Youth's main objective is to provide an avenue for young Buddhist monks, nuns and lay Buddhist youth who heed the advice of the Noble Teacher, the Buddha to carry out Dhammaduta work, meet, exchange ideas and thoughts, share their experiences and remain focused to spreading the Noble Truth, peace and non-violence.
background
All Buddhist Sangha are living continuation of the wisdom of the Buddha Shakyamuni; their life long professional goals are to establish and maintain good order in the Buddhadharma and to help other beings. Therefore, they should show mediating excellence in their wisdom, be pure and strict in their monastic practices, and be compassionate and magnanimous in their love and kindness to other sentient beings. Whereas all Buddha Sangha take great vows before the Buddha, they need the right kind of education, training and guidance when it comes to putting their vows into practice.
The objectives of most Buddhist organizations today are to popularize Buddhism or engage in charitable work or academic exchanges. Very few involve themselves with the training and education of Buddhist Sangha youth. For this reason, revered monks from the southern, northern, and Vajrayana traditions met in February 2004 at Katmandu, NEPAL during the ordination of four young monks, and called for the establishment of an organization with the main objective to train and educate Buddhist Sangha youth. The result of such meeting was the establishment of the World Buddhist Sangha Youth (“WBSY”), which resolved to hold its first Executive Board meeting in Thailand in May.
